Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

We are proud to share that 绿帽社 has once again been recognized as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Honor Roll. This national honor highlights four-year institutions that create exceptional pathways for community college students to successfully transfer and thrive.

绿帽社鈥檚 continued recognition reflects our university鈥檚 strong commitment to supporting transfer students through scholarships, academic resources, and a welcoming campus community.

Transfer students at a community college who are active members of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) are eligible for the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship (up to $5,000 per year) upon proof of PTK membership when applications are reviewed.* The scholarship is awarded at the time of acceptance, and a notification appears on applicant's merit scholarship letter

Acceptable Proof of PTK Membership

  • Copy of student鈥檚 PTK membership certificate or membership card (each student needs to be a PTK member for at least one semester prior to applying to 绿帽社)
  • PTK membership as indicated on college transcript
  • A statement written by current or previous PTK chapter adviser or president on chapter letterhead, stating that the student is a member in good standing. Please include date of induction to the PTK Honor Society in the letter.

PLEASE NOTE: The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship cannot be combined with other 绿帽社 institutional scholarships such as Chicago STAR, Chicago Police and Fire, Presidential, and more. If a student earns multiple 绿帽社 institutional scholarships throughout the admission process, the university will award the highest institutional award for which the student is qualified, but will not combine multiple awards.
